This dress was worn by Firefly costume designer Shawna Trpcic during her bridal shower. Unlike her wedding dress, this dress was not worn in the series. Although if there had been a second season, it would not have been surprising to see Inara wearing this gorgeous outfit on a job.
It is a traditional Indian dress, made of cotton and rayon. The skirt is light brown in the front, and black with an intricate pattern on the back, and a red border along the bottom. It has an elastic waistband that can fit about 28-32. The bodice is a decorated black with red n the sleeves, and fits about 34-36. It also comes with a red and black scarf with the same pattern as the skirt and the bodice sleeves.
This would be a fabulous dress to wear to the Browncoat Ball in San Francisco in September.
